We presented our tablescape at the Enchanted Dreams VI Bridal show held at the Crowne Plaza Grand Ballroom this past sunday. It turned out great! Racheal and I met and chatted with many different brides. We went with a modern tropical design in tangerine, fuschia and apple green. We wanted to incorporate a lush natural look with some modern elements. All of the coordinating stationery was designed by our very own Racheal Schoof (Genius Graphic Artist). I especially loved her menu design. We hung name cards from ribbons on the parasol to add a touch of whimsy. We also displayed our custom designed ring pillow, custom clutch, and custom handpainted glasses. Out fabulous cake was made by Allison and Jessica of Simply Cakes and Favors. They are awesome to work with and their cakes are so yummy.

Unique Wedding Style
Emplume boutonnier
I came across this sexy bouquet from Emplume! It is so chic. I love to see unique and stylish statement pieces for brides. The girls from Emplume have really achieved this by creating a line of modern couture bouquets and wedding accessories. Their ring pillows and corsage's are also a beautiful touch to add to a glamorous wedding. Check them out!
Chartreuse and Grey
I love the contrast of the steel grey and the chartreuse. This room has many contrasting textures that compliment each other so nicely. The cement pedestal holding a beaded sphere balances out the rich warm wood tones of the chest. The sofa looks so welcoming with the soft velvet and overstuffed cushions. I could cuddle and read in this corner all day!
Bedroom Seating
The Bedroom
The bedroom is a place to clarify the mind, rest the body, and sooth the soul. This bedroom pictured is one of my favorite rooms I have designed. Racheal and I enjoy using many different textures and details. Some of my favorites in this room are, The Maya Romanoff wallpaper in the niches is Baubble from the Flexible Glass Collection. The headboard from Platt has a soft velvet fabric. The bolster pillow has Kravet trim made with rhinestone and crystals and the throw is trimed out with a feathered trim from Kravets Hollywood glam collection.

Kravet Luncheon
Today I met my friends Teresa and Charlotte at the IDC (International Design Center). We attended the Kravet "How to Get Published" seminar presented by Carolyn Sollis, former Style Director of House & Garden magazine, Executive Editor of House Beautiful. It was such a great presentation. Carolyn provided so many tips for Designers from proper marketing ideas to providing a cohesive image as a successful Designer. She explained the importance of "Brand Identity". Studio 6XI definitely seconds that motion! She also provided tips for submitting projects to different design publications. After the presentation Kravet provided a delicious lunch in their fabulous showroom. It consisted of a yummy shrimp scampi, Mediterranean chicken, rice pilaf, bruschetta topped with cheese and diced tomatoes, fresh vegetable platter and fruit kabobs. Finished off with a fresh mimosa. Mmm it was delish! We had a chance to look at the gorgeous fabrics in the showroom and mingle with other local designers. Kravet even provided us with these great bags filled with goodies. Kravet knows marketing! It was a such a lovely afternoon.
